Art Basel/ Miami Art Week is easily one of my favorite times of the year, but most locals are in the dark about where to go and what to do in the magic city the first week of December. This year Art Basel will go down Thursday, December 5 to Sunday the 9th and below you'll find some of the most popular events and art fairs in the city.
Miami Beach, Little Haiti and Wynwood are going to be springing up with satellite fairs and events that you can rsvp to for free or purchase tickets to. I'll also be covering these for you on my socials @RoamFreeWrites bringing you exclusive behind the scenes so be sure to tune in.
Below you will find free events, art fairs and music events and I'll also be updating this post daily. You can also email me about listing your event to : email@example.com

Danish artist and designer Thomas Dambo, whose imaginative art pieces have graced landscapes world-wide, has started the onsite creation of two whimsical, massive trolls named Berta and Terje at Pinecrest Gardens, South Florida’s Premier Cultural Arts Park. Dambo and his team are using locally-sourced recycled and repurposed wood, broken branches and fallen trees to bring to life his fictional story about a brother and sister who are ready to combat the ills of the world and help a wise, beautiful banyan tree. The installation, presented by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, will officially make its debut to the public at Pinecrest Gardens on December 4, 2019 in time for Art Basel.

LOVE LOST MIAMI
Love Lost is an exhibit of crowdsourced ordinary objects and their accompanying stories created by and for the Miami community. Love Lost, Miami is an annual Art Basel exhibit of objects that reveal stories of heartbreak that live in our own backyard. They take the shape of relics of unfinished stories and broken bridges, deserted homelands, and missed opportunities, endured trauma, unexpected heartbreak, and peaceful resignation. Through these stories, lost love becomes much more than a single destination; it takes the shape of a communal mosaic colored with shades of sadness, anger, bewilderment, pain, gratitude, joy, and even humor.
