The 11th Creative Time Summit, an annual convening for thinkers, dreamers, and doers working at the intersection of art and politics will be held in Miami for the first time this November 1-3, 2018.
The three days will consist of thought-provoking presentations, community-driven breakout sessions, interactive performances, celebrations, and our very first Summit film series.
They'll also be heading to the National Young Arts Foundation one of Miami's most creative institutions. Young Arts nurtures the most accomplished young artists in the visual, literary, design and performing arts, and prepares them on their educational and professional development.
Partnering with the Creative Time Summit Yara Travieso, Ana Menéndez and Cat Garcia-Menocal will be leading a talk on titled, "PASAJES: Displacement and Belonging Across Generations,” a topic well known to the people of Miami. The topics explored will dive deep into displacement, identity, sense of place and fragmented memories of leaving a life behind and creating a new one.
Attendees will group in one-hour round table sessions, and will also include workshops, excursions, interactive presentations and activations.
